Mechanical Design Engineer

Established and Highly Successful Company, Specialising in the Manufacture of Bespoke Engineered Products, Serving a Range of Industry Sectors, are Seeking to Recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to Join an Expanding Group of Professionals at their Kent Based HQ

ROLE

• Managing End to End Projects
• Design 3D Models for Bespoke Products for Worldwide Client Base
• Client/Sales Team Liaison to Identify Design Requirements
• Produce Detailed Engineering/Manufacturing Drawing with BOM’s
• Produce Standard Operating Procedures to Detail Manufacturing and Assembly Methods
• Produce Technical Documents, Reports and Presentations for Internal and External Use

REQUIRED (Essential)

• Relevant Mechanical/Design Engineering Degree
• Strong Experience with 3D CAD Software
• Full Lifecycle Design Experience, (Concept Design, 2D/3D Modelling, Engineering Drawings and Designing for Manufacture, Maintenance and Design Improvement Considerations)
• Experience of Tolerance Analysis, Including Manufactured Parts and Assembly Tolerance Stack Up
• Lean Manufacturing Experience, (5S or Six Sigma)
• Experience in Use of ERP or MRP Systems, (SAGE, Oracle, Progress Plus)
• Proven Project Management Skills and Experience
• Experience with Continuous Improvement Systems and Techniques
• Proficient IT Skills, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

REQUIRED (Preferable)

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• Experience of Working in an ISO 9001 Accredited Engineering Company
• Project Management Qualifications, (Prince 2, PMP)
• Experience of Working with Precision Sheet Metal and Machined Products
• Experience with Polymers and Composites

REMUNERATION

• £40K, Subject to Qualifications and Experience
