Description
Established and Highly Successful Company, Specialising in the Manufacture of Bespoke Engineered Products, Serving a Range of Industry Sectors, are Seeking to Recruit a Quality Technician to Join an Expanding Group of Professionals at their Kent Based HQ. This is a Hands-On Role, Suitable for an Experienced Quality Technician with a Strong Background in the Inspection of Fine Limit Sheet Metal Fabrications and Associated Products
ROLE
- Responsible for Ensuring All Aspects of Day-to-Day Inspection Duties are Met and Definition and Implementation of Continual Improvement Targets
- Final Inspection of Sheet Metal and Machined Components
- Inspection of Incoming Raw Materials and Sub-Contract Operations
- In-Process Inspection of Parts
- Maintain All Quality Records
- Calibration of Measuring Equipment and Ensuring Calibration System Conformance
- Creation of Key Dimensional Reports, eg FAI Reports, CofA’s etc
- Raising Internal and External Non-Conformance Investigations and Subsequent Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Assisting with Management of the ISO 9001 Management System
- Ensuring Suppliers Meet Quality Expectations
- Assisting the Quality Engineer with Non-Conforming Investigations
- Supporting the Quality Team in Discussions with Suppliers and Customers Over Concerns and Issues
REQUIRED (Essential)
- Experience of Fine Limit Sheet Metal Inspection
- Experience of Using Manual Measurement Equipment and Techniques
- Good Understanding of Reading Engineering Drawings, Tolerances and First Principle Measuring Techniques
- Experience of Working Within a Quality Management Standard (Minimum to ISO 9001)
- Strong Organisational and Decision-Making Skills
- Focused with Strict Attention to Detail
- Good Inter-Personal Skills at All Levels
- Effective Communication Skills, Written and Spoken
- Proficient IT Skills, Including Use of ERP Systems
- Active Team Member and Contributor
REQUIRED (Preferable)
- Experience of CMM
- Experience of XRF Analysis
- Experience of Hardness and Tensile Testing
- Experience of 8D, FMEA, AQAP Processes
REMUNERATION
- £28K, Subject to Qualifications and Experience
