Mechanical Engineer

Established, Highly Successful and Respected Organisation, Located in West Kent, Specialising in the Manufacture of Bespoke and Complex Engineering Solutions are Seeking to Expand their Team with the Addition of an Experienced Mechanical Engineer

ROLE

• Project Management for New Products from Concept Designs to Detailed Manufacturing Drawings, Material Specifications/Selection
• Responsible for Detailing Manufacturing and Assembly Procedures with Consideration to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Systems and Techniques
• Managing End to End Projects
• Design 3D Models for Bespoke Products
• Client/Sales Team Liaison to Identify Design Requirements
• Producing Detailed Engineering/Manufacturing Drawing with BOM’s
• Producing Standard Operating Procedures to Detail Manufacturing and Assembly Methods
• Producing Technical Documents, Reports and Presentations for Internal and External Use

REQUIRED (Essential Qualifications & Experience)

• Relevant Engineering Degree in the Field of Mechanical/Design Engineering
• Regular and Competent Use of 3D CAD Software (Ideally Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks)
• Full Lifecycle Design Experience
• Tolerance Analysis Including Manufactured Parts and Assembly Tolerance Stack Up
• Lean Manufacturing eg 5S or Six Sigma
• Use of ERP or MRP Systems eg SAGE, Oracle, Progress Plus
• Proven Project Management Skills
• Continuous Improvement Systems and Techniques
• Proficient IT Skills with Strong Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

REQUIRED (Desirable Experience)

• Working in an ISO 9001 Accredited Engineering Company
• Project Management Qualifications ie Price 2, PMP
• Working with Precision Sheet Metal and Machined Products
• Polymers and Composites

REMUNERATION

• £40K p/a Subject to Qualifications and Experience
