Quality Technician

Quality Technician Required to Join the Quality Team of a Well Established, Highly Successful and Respected Company, Located in West Kent.  The Company Specialises in the Manufacture of Bespoke and Complex Solutions to Satisfy Customer Needs

Hands-On Role, Ideally Suited to an Experienced Quality Technician with a Strong Background in the Inspection of Fine Limit Sheet Metal Fabrications and Associated Products

ROLE

• Final Inspection of Sheet Metal and Machined Components to In-House Created Drawings
• Inspection of Incoming Raw Materials and Sub-Contract Operations
• In-Process Inspection of Parts
• Maintenance of All Quality Records
• Calibration of Measuring Equipment
• Assisting the Quality Engineer with Non-Conformance Investigations
• Assisting with ISO 9001 Management System
• Support Meeting of Production Deadlines
• Supporting the Quality Team in Discussions with Suppliers and Customers

REQUIRED (Essential Experience & Skills)

• Appropriate Academic/Vocational Qualifications
• Fine Limit Sheet Metal Inspection
• Measurement Equipment
• Reading and Understanding of Engineering Drawings, Tolerances and First Principle Measuring Techniques
• Experience and Understanding of ISO 9001
• Strong Organisational and Decision-Making Skills
• Proficient IT Skills and Experience of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP)

REQUIRED (Desirable Experience & Skills)

• Coordinate-Measuring Machine (CMM)
• X-ray Fluorescence Analysis (XRF)
• Hardness and Tensile Testing
• 8D Problem Solving
• Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Allied Quality Assurance Publications Processes (AQAP)
