Description
A Quality Manager is Required to Manage the Quality Department, for an Established Specialist Manufacturer of Engineered Solutions, which Satisfy Complex Client Needs
The Quality Manager will be Responsible for the Overall Management of the Quality Management System, Reviewing Current Quality Processes and Implementation of New Process Improvements
Role
- Improving/Maintaining the Integrated Quality Management System (QMS), Consistent with ISO 9000 Standards
- Improving/Maintaining the Internal Audit Program for Monitoring the QMS
- Educating Colleagues through Process Change and Achieving Buy-In to New Processes
- Engaging All Areas of the Business to Eliminate Process Failures and Implement Robust Controls to Ensure Failures are Not Repeated through Process Change and Management Information Reporting
- Presenting Relevant Information to the Leadership Team to Show Improvements and Identify Opportunities and Risks
- Improving/Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, (SOP), Registers and Ensuring SOP Conformity
- Implementing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, (FMEA), Registers
- Liaising with Clients/External Bodies re the QMS
- Maintaining and Auditing the Approved Suppliers List
- Arranging/Chairing Regular Management Review Meetings of the QMS
- Ensuring the QMS Remains Relevant to Company Requirements and Scope
Required (Essential Experience)
- Proven Quality Management
- Working Within a Manufacturing and Engineering Background
- Working with Sheet Metal
- Working with Multiple Production Lines
Required (Preferred Experience)
- Lean Manufacturing Techniques, eg 5S and/or Six Sigma
- Statistical Process Control, (SPC) and Product Quantity and Routing, (PQR) Analysis
- 8D Problem Solving, Reports and Root Cause Analysis
- FMEA
- Working with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Standards is Advantageous
Remuneration
- Basic Salary of £50K Per Annum
